Services include safety and damage prevention focused training and presentations on topics such as Safe Digging Best Practices, Understanding the Colorado One-Call Law, Excavation and Locator Best Practices, how to best utilize 811 services, and more.

Colorado 811’s dedicated education and damage prevention field liaisons are more than just contacts -- they're your partners in preventing underground utility damage across the state. They actively engage with members, excavators, locators, and the public, championing the importance of 811 and safe digging practices mandated by Colorado law.

Need in-person training? Request a regional education and damage prevention liaison to join your utility, excavator, or locator team at your business location for customized education. Have a safety focused event to educate children and property owners about the importance of contacting 811 before digging? We are happy to attend and present at your event.

Note: Colorado 811 personnel will only host or present at in-person training or industry events that include 25 verified, registered participants, if the location of the event is located 200+ miles, one-way, or 3.5 drive–time hours away from the dedicated regional Education & Damage Prevention Regional Liaison’s base location. Any long-range event with less than 25 verified registered attendees will only be offered in a virtual format only.
