Colorado 811 Exactix Ticketing System

Colorado 811 has successfully launched the new Exactix Ticketing System as of January 30, 2026. This upgrade delivers a faster, more intuitive, and more accurate way to submit and manage locate tickets. Both excavators and utility owner/operators will benefit from enhanced customer service features, expanded self‑service capabilities, and improved communication tools.

Access Requirements for the Colorado 811 Exactix Ticketing System

Accessing the Colorado 811 Ticketing System requires creating an Exactix user account. To unlock full system functionality—beyond single-address locate requests—users must complete training and pass a competency exam.

Important Notice for Legacy Norfield WTE Users: 

If you previously submitted tickets in the Norfield system as a Web Ticket Entry (WTE) user, you must register for the new Colorado 811 Exactix Ticketing System using the personalized registration email you received. This step ensures your account is properly linked and your transition to the updated platform is seamless. For guidance, follow the provided instructions  and reach out to Online Services for support at 877-318-8188 or email onlineservices@co811.org .

To sign up for an Exactix user account – this account will allow you to submit single address tickets and check positive response only. See below for information on full access.

  1.  Submit a request for an account here. 

  2. After submitting our Online Services team will review your information and confirm your account. Watch for a confirmation email from us. You’ll also receive an invitation to activate your account, which will come from either mail@4iqidentity.com  or exactix@co811.org . If you don’t see these emails, please check your spam or junk folders and make sure these addresses aren’t blocked. 

  3. Follow the instructions in the invitation email to complete your account setup and begin using the Colorado 811 Exactix Ticketing System.

Training for the Colorado 811 Exactix Ticketing System

Virtual Live Training: Excavator - Colorado 811 Exactix Ticketing System

Join this live virtual training session designed for new users of the Colorado 811 Online Ticketing System. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Colorado's One Call system and covers all the key topics you need to submit accurate and complete tickets online. Through instructor-led guidance and practical demonstrations, you'll gain the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the online ticketing process, understand positive response requirements, and utilize GIS mapping tools effectively.

Live In-Person Training

Get hands-on experience with our new Online Ticketing System through accelerated, in-person training sessions led by Colorado 811's regional Education & Damage Prevention Liaisons. Our team will travel directly to your office to provide comprehensive training.

Requirements for In-Person Training: 

  • Minimum of 25 verified, registered participants for locations 200+ miles from the regional liaison's home base 

  • Minimum of 10 verified, registered participants for locations 50 miles from the regional liaison's home base 

  • Events with fewer than 10 registered attendees will be offered in virtual format only

Positive Response

Positive Response is mandated under Colorado State law, to be provided by the underground facility owner to the excavator requesting the locate request. The facility owner is required to post a Positive Response through the Colorado 811 Positive Response System.

  • If the facility owner has not published to the Colorado 811 system within the expected time-frame, a “Positive Response Renotification” will be automatically generated at 11:59 p.m. on the locate by date, and every subsequent day until a response is posted.

  • Colorado 811 agents do not have a direct link to provide positive response information for any locate request. Please refer to this program only through www.colorado811.org, or call the facility owner directly.

  • Please do not make calls to 8-1-1 for positive response information, if you need assistance please call (877) 318 8188 or email onlineservices@co811.org.

You can check response without logging into the system by clicking the ‘Check Response’ button below and entering the ticket number and phone number.

To check response for your tickets collectively click the ‘Ticket System’ button below. If you do not have an account please see 'Access Requirements' above for more details.

Check Response Ticket System Positive Response Codes 

If the above buttons don’t open for you, you should notice a “Pop-up prevention” notification at the top of your browser. Please “allow pop-ups for colorado811.org.”

Renotification

If any locates are incomplete, missing markings, unfound utility, or discrepancy in Positive Responses, submit a renotification request.

To submit a renotification the following criteria shall exist (otherwise a new request must be processed)

  • There was an original ticket processed

  • It is not more than (five) 5 business days after the original Locate By Date

  • Positive Response has been verified

Renotification requests can be made by calling 811 (1-800-922-1987) or through the Colorado 811 Exactix Ticketing System.
